МатеріалBreeding and genetic improvement of soft winter wheat with the use of spelt wheat(Agronomy Research, 2022-05) In the process of carrying out studies as a result of hybridization of soft wheat with spelt wheat, a number of new forms that differ in morphobiological and economically valuable features were obtained. The aim of the research was to expand the genetic diversity of soft wheat by hybridization with spelt wheat, analysis of the heterotic effect in hybrids in order to systematize the samples and obtain valuable original forms for the breeding process of creating high-yielding varieties. As a result of research the breeding technology of creating high-yielding forms of soft winter wheat by cross-species hybridization of Triticum aestivum L. × Triticum spelta L. has been improved. It has been determined that the plant height and ear length in hybrids are inherited by type of intermediate inheritance or negative dominance, the number of grains in the ear - by type of intermediate inheritance or positive dominance; ear grain weight - by type of superdominance or positive dominance. In F2 hybrids there is a dihybrid cleavage into forms with speltoid, squarehead and typical ear with a quantitative predominance of speltoid plants, which indicates the control of the ear shape indication by two non-allelic genes. The ear shape of the soft wheat original varieties in relation to speltoid varieties turned out to be a recessive trait, but at the same time it was dominant to a squarehead form. Regardless of the genotypes of soft wheat included in the combination of crossbreeding with spelt wheat, red color ear indication was determined by a monogenic type of inheritance. Varieties of soft winter wheat Artaplot, Umanska Tsarivna and Freya have been created, which are included in the State Registry of Plant Varieties Suitable for Distribution in Ukraine and recommended for cultivation in Polissia.

МатеріалBreeding and genetic improvement of spelt wheat (Triticum spelta L.) by interspecific hybridization.(Regulatory Mechanisms in Biosystems, 2024-10) Діордієва І.П. ; Рябовол Л.О. ; Рябовол Я. С. ; Бабій М. М. ; Федоренко С. В. ; Сержук О. П. ; Масловата С. А. ; Новак Ж. М. ; Любченко А. І. ; Любченко І. О.Spelt wheat (Triticum spelta L.) is a high-value grain crop which is characterized by high protein, gluten and aminoacids content, high adaptive potential, resistance to diseases and high antioxidant activity. However, it is significantly inferior to soft wheat in terms of yield capacity. From crosses of spelt and soft wheat new promising genotypes can be obtained with improved quantitative traits due to introgression in the genome of spelt wheat of genetic material of soft wheat. In the research presented here based on hybridization of Triticum spelta L. × Triticum aestivum L. we obtained new forms of spelt which differ among themselves in terms of morphological characteristics, productivity and grain quality. As a result of the conducted research, a wide form-forming process in terms of plant height, ear morphology and grain threshing quality was recorded. The height of plants in F1 hybrids is inherited by the type of dominance of high stemness or intermediate inheritance was established. In the F2–F4 generations, the share of obtaining short-stemmed forms of spelt wheat was higher than with the use of short-stemmed varieties of common wheat as the maternal form. In F2 offspring, the inheritance of threshing quality by the type of dominant epistasis according to the 12 : 3 : 1 scheme was established. In F3–4 offspring, splitting according to ear morphology occurred with the appearance of not only typical forms of spelt wheat or common wheat, but also intermediate forms with different ratios of spike length and density. High-yielding (5.75–5.79 t/ha) short-stemmed (h = 78–89 cm) spelt wheat samples 1817 and 1559 with high grain quality indicators (weight of 1000 grains 64.4 g, protein content – 21.0%, gluten – 43.7%) were identified. Sample 13, which successfully combined high grain quality indicators in particular high protein content (26.2%), gluten content (55.8%), grain hardness (66.5 units), flour strength (340 alveograph units) was selected.

МатеріалCreation and analysis of the starting material obtained by hybridisation of Triticum spelta L. × Triticum compactum Host..(Scientific Horizons, 2023-09) Діордієва І. П. ; Кочмарський В.С. ; Рябовол Л.О. ; Рябовол Я.С. ; Каричковська С.П.In the conducted studies, as a result of the hybridisation of Triticum spelta L. × Triticum compactum Host. several new forms were obtained that differ in morphobiological and economically valuable traits. The research aims to expand the genetic diversity of spelt wheat and to obtain new introgressive forms with a high level of manifestation of economically valuable traits. The following methods were used: field, laboratory, hydrological analysis, and statistical analysis. As a result of the research, new source material was obtained and valuable genotypes with a unique combination of genetic material of the source species were identified. An intermediate type of inheritance of plant morphology traits (plant height, ear length and density, grain weight per ear) in F1 hybrids was established. In F2 hybrids, a split of 3:1, indicates the dominant monogenic nature of inheritance. The shape of the ear is inherited monogenically by the type of incomplete dominance. The analysis of transgressive variability in F3-4 hybrids Triticum spelta L. × Triticum compactum Host. shows that the highest proportion of positive transgressions was recorded for the number of spikelets (28.1-28.5%) and grains (23.4-51.0%) in the ear and grain weight per spikelet (20.3-32.1%). The analysis of stability and adaptability indices allowed us to distinguish line 201, characterised by high stability (S2 di=0.027), homeostasis (Hom=193.3) and breeding value (Sc=3.9), and line 206, combining high yield (5.11 t/ha) with high homeostasis (Hom=182.3) and breeding value (Sc=3.9). The introgressive hybridisation with Triticum compactum Host. identified new genetic sources characterised by the presence of deficient traits for breeding and of great practical importance for further breeding and genetic improvement of spelt, as they can enrich the existing gene pool of the crop

МатеріалEnrichment of the winter triticale gene pool under intergeneric hybridization(Agronomy Research, 2021) Діордієва, Ірина Павлівна ; Кочмарський, Валентин Сергійович ; Рябовол, Ярослав Сергійович ; Рябовол, Людмила Олегівна ; Сержук, Олександр ПетровичThe purpose of the research was to expand the genetic diversity of winter triticale under intraspecific and remote hybridization and to obtain new valuable forms for their involvement in the breeding process of creating high-yielding crop varieties. For this purpose interspecific and remote hybridization of different species of wheat, rye, triticale, Elimus arenarius L. and evaluation of obtained hybrids were carried out from 2013 to 2020. According to the results of our research it is proved that the species Triticum spelta L. and Triticum petropavlovskyi Udacz. had dominant genes of incompatibility with rye. Crossing Triticum compactum Host. and Triticum sphaerococcum Perciv. species with rye allowed obtaining a higher level of seed setting, but the grain obtained with the participation of Triticum sphaerococcum Perciv. species was not viable. Compatibility of triticale with spelt and Elimus arenarius L. was low. The level of seed formation in F1 hybrids under artificial pollination was higher than under spontaneous pollination. Seed germination obtained from pollination of F1 hybrids by fertile forms of triticale - was low. It was found that hybridization of three-species triticale with spelt had a positive effect on grain quality indicators in the offspring. Crossing triticale with Elimus arenarius L. led to ear elongation, but caused a significant reduction in all indicators of grain quality in the offspring. As a result of remote hybridization of three-species triticale and spelt wheat, winter triticale varieties Navarra and Strateh were created and included in the State register of plant varieties suitable for distribution in Ukraine since 2018

МатеріалEVALUATION OF RESISTANCE TO DISEASES OF SOFT WINTER WHEAT SAMPLES CREATED BY HYBRIDIZATION OF ECOLOGICALLY AND GEOGRAPHICALLY REMOTE FORMS(Ukrainian journal of ecology, 2018) Діордієва, Ірина Павлівна ; Рябовол, Ярослав Сергійович ; Рябовол, Людмила Олегівна ; Полторецький, Сергій Петрович ; Любченко, Андрій Іванович ; Кононенко, Лідія Михайлівна ; Крижанівський, Віталій ГригоровичGenetic and breeding improvement of soft winter wheat varieties is one of the most effective methods of increasing yields, resistance against abiotic and biotic environment factors and energy-saving of wheat cultivation. Use of disease-resistant varieties is an economically effective and environmentally safe method of plant protection. The plant’s resistance is provided by the existing group of resistance genes, which are specific and act at the first determinant phase of plant and pathogen interaction. In wheat breeding the genes that provide varieties with stable resistance to disease regardless of genetic diversity of pathogens and weather conditions of cultivation are of greatest value. Such genes are often dominant mono- and oligogens. The objective of our research was to identify and select soft winter wheat samples resistant to main diseases and created by hybridization of ecologically and geographically remote forms in order to use them in breeding as donors of resistance. As a result of the research four samples of soft winter wheat 4075, 6151, 3872 and 6254 with complex resistance to diseases (resistance score 8-9) were selected. Created materials showed a significant advantage in resistance to powdery mildew, fusarium and septoria blight in comparison with standard variety Favoritka. Selected samples can be used as donors of resistance genes in the breeding process of high-yielding soft winter wheat varieties.

МатеріалFRACTIONAL COMPOSITION OF MINERAL PHOSPHATES OF PODZOLIZED CHERNOZEM AFTER PROLONGED USE OF FERTILISERS IN FIELD CROP ROTATION(Scientific Horizons, 2022) Hospodarenko H. ; Cherno O. ; Ryabovol L. ; Leonova K. ; Liubchenko A.The phosphate state of the soil is an important factor in forming its fertility. In this regard, the study of the phosphate state of different soil subtypes in different agrocenoses is relevant. Experimental data on changes in the content of gross phosphorus and its fractional composition in podzolized chernozem under the influence of long-term fertilisation are important for the effective use of fertilisers in the right-bank forest-steppe of Ukraine, determine its potential for providing plants with phosphorus, and are the theoretical basis for clarifying the standards for the rational use of high-cost phosphorous fertilisers. The purpose of the study was to investigate changes in the fractional composition of mineral phosphates of podzolized chernozem compared to fallow after the use of various fertiliser systems in the field crop rotation of the right-bank forest-steppe. In the soil from a layer of 0-20 cm, the content of mineral phosphates was determined by the Chang and Jackson method modified by Ginzburg-Lebedeva with photo colourimetric determination of phosphorus by the Denigs method modified by Truog-Mayer. Studies have shown that the loessial podzolized heavy loam chernozem has significant reserves of phosphorus potentially available for plant nutrition. After 55 years in the field crop rotation, depending on the characteristics of fertiliser, its content in the soil changed from 921 mg/kg to 2,565 mg/kg P2 O5 (content of 1,008 mg/kg under fallow). The content of mineral phosphate fractions in podzolized chernozem is arranged in the following sequence: Ca-PII>Ca-PIII>Ca-PI >Fe-P>Al-P. The use of manure and mineral fertilisers increases the phosphorus content in all fractions of mineral phosphates. First of all, the share of active forms – Ca-PI and Ca-PII is growing up to 66-72% (with 64% content in fallow). According to the organo-mineral fertiliser system (option Manure 13.5 t + N68P101K54), phosphorus between the fractions of mineral phosphates is distributed in the following ratio,%: Ca-PI -7; Ca-PII-40; Ca-PIII-28; Al-P-11; Fe-P-14. Phosphate mobility estimated by the indicator (Ca-PI + Ca-PII): Ca-PIII depends more on fertiliser doses than on fertiliser systems. High content of Ca-PIII fraction in podzolized chernozem indicates the need to clarify the optimal content of mobile phosphorus compounds.
