МатеріалDESIGN OF A ROLL CRUSHER FOR SUNFLOWER STEMS AND SUBSTANTIATION OF THE RATIONAL MODES OF ITS OPERATION(Eastern-European Journal of Enterprise Technologies ISSN 1729-3774, 2021) Viktor Sheichenko ; Volodymyr Volskyi ; Rostyslav Kotsiubanskyi ; Viktor Dnes ; Misha Shevchuk ; Oleksandra Bilovod ; Olga DrozhchanaThis paper reports a study of the technological process of grinding plant residues of sunflower and the causal relationships of factors that form the system of quality indicators. The necessary prerequisites for determining rational modes and parameters of the roll crusher have been devised. A prototype of the roll crusher was designed and fabricated, in which the cutting knives are arranged along the entire width of the grip in a staggered manner, with the possibility to change the angle of inclination to the axis of drum rotation in the range of 5...20°. It was established that in the case of the right-side arrangement of the cutting edge of knives, the highest total level of the percentage of crushed stems in the range of 101–150 mm with an additional load weighing 800 kg exceeded by 1.58 times the corresponding indicators of the roll with an additional load of 600 kg. The largest overall value of the percentage of crushed stems in the range of 0–200 mm when additionally loading the roll with 800 kg was 1.13 times higher than the corresponding indicators of the roll with an additional load of 600 kg. In the range of 0–200 mm, with an additional load on the roll of 600 kg, at the leftside arrangement of the cutting edge of the knives of the roll, higher total percentage of crushed stems was observed compared to the right-side arrangement. At a speed of 7.45 km/h, 13.6 km/h, the cumulative value of the percentage of crushed stems exceeded the corresponding indicators at the right-side arrangement of knives by 1.09 times, at the speed of 18.6 km/h – by 1.04 times, at the speed of 22 km/h – by 1.04 times, respectively. It has been noted that at the left-side arrangement of the cutting edge of the knives of the roll, the percentage of crushed stems in the range of 51–100 mm, with an additional load of 600 kg, exceeded the corresponding indicators with an additional load of 800 kg. ShpilkaThis paper reports a study into the possibility of using the chassis of com-bine-harvesters as a mobile energy device. The operational requirements for mobile energy technological devices for general purposes have been developed. The traction-coupling characteristics of the combine-harvester with an adap-ter that increases traction force have been investigated. The theoretical dependences have been derived of the motion speed, the power on a hook, the specific fuel consumption, as well as a factor of loading the wheels of the driven axle, on the traction force on the hook of an energy-technological device. It is noted that the use of the controlled axle with drive wheels reduces the slippage of the engines of the energy technological device. At the engine slippage level of up to 16 % an energy device, equipped with a driven axle with drive wheels, generates a traction force on the hook of up to 40 kN. Under the conditions of driving the axle by the hydraulic transmission mainline, the motion speed of an energy device decrea-ses by 17.9 %, 28.5 %, 35.9 %, and 49.0 %, respectively, on gears I, II, III, and IV of the drive axle gearbox. The power on the energy device’s hook is increased due to the corresponding increase in traction effort: on gear III, at a trac-tion effort within 35–40 kN, the capacity on the hook is 68–75 kW. Under these condi-tions, the specific fuel consumption is 430– 460 g/kWh at the device’s motion speed within 1.9–1.95 m/s. The limits for changing the load factor on the wheels of the driven axle (not less than 0.2) have been determined, at which the requirements for control over an energy device are met. The specific fuel consumption (540– 580 g/kWh) by a combine-harvester with a throughput capacity of 9–11 kg/s has been established, when using it as an energy technological device for general purposes at a motion speed of 1.7–2.1 m/s and a traction effort on the hook of 24–33 kN Keywords: combine-harvester, energy technological device, operational require-ments, traction-coupling properties, adapter

Dudnikov ; S. Koropchenko ; V. Dnes ; Y. Skoriak ; V. SkibchykThis paper reports the system of devised technologies for harvesting hemp with belt hemp threshers. It is proposed to form a roll of mowed hemp stems on a belt and tramp it to the field edge for further processing of stems. That makes it possible to significantly improve the efficiency of mechanized processes when harvesting and processing the entire biological harvest of hemp. Thus, the level of handling hemp production systems has been increased. At the same time, the management of the process of roll formation of hemp stems has been improved. The technology of hemp harvesting has been improved with the possibility of obtaining raw materials for long fiber and therapeutic prepa-rations. Two-phase harvesting (for seeds and fiber) has been proposed to be implemented by using belt hemp threshers included in the sta-tionary (semi-stationary) complexes. The possibility of preparing the combed hemp retted stalks by spreading them on mate-rials of various types has been systematically substantiated. The influence of the thickness of a layer of hemp stalks spread out for the preparation of ret-ted stalks on the timing of their preparation and fiber quality indicators has been investigated. It was established that in terms of the qual-ity indicators of the produced fiber, the retted stalks from all experiments are properly aged while the efficiency of their processing for me-dium- and large-stalk fraction is high. The fibers produced in all experiments were characterized by purity, as well as high indica-tors of breaking load and handful length. As regards the linear density, the fibers’ va lues in all experimental variants exceeded the normative ones by 1.65–2.64 times, which ren-dered them non-standard. An increase in the values of quality indica-tors has been established with the correspond-ing change, from 1 to 3 kilograms per meter, in the thickness of the layer of combed hemp stalks. A comparative analysis of cereal yield and cooking time at different moisture contents and time of electromagnetic irradiation of grain before flattening is carried out. The degree of influence of the investigated factors on the total yield of flattened wholegrain cereal and high-grade flattened cereal is determined. The effect of electromagnetic irradiation on the yield of high-grade flattened cereal is significant. Moistening does not affect the overall cereal yield. The highest total yield of cereal was obtained after grain irradiation for 20–80 s, and the lowest – after 180 s. The highest yield of high-grade flattened cereal was obtained with an irradiation time of 80–100 s, while the lowest – 20 s. Moistening of emmer wheat grain by 1.0 % allows increasing the yield of high-grade flattened cereal from 89.6 to 92.3 %. In this case, the optimal irradiation time is reduced from 100 to 80 s. It is found that emmer wheat grain cereal is of high culinary quality. The cooking time of high-grade cereal is reduced as a result of moistening and electromagnetic irradiation of grain. With short-term electromagnetic irradiation of grain (20 s), the cooking time of high-grade cereal is 19.1 minutes, and after long-term (180 s) it decreased to 15.9 minutes. The use of optimal processing parameters (moistening by 1.0 %, irradiation for 80–100 s) provides the 91.7–92.3 % yield of high-grade wholegrain flattened cereal with a culinary score of 7.3 points. The cereal quality meets the requirements of DSTU 76992015. The difference from the classical method is the use of unhulled emmer wheat grain. МатеріалEnvironmental and Resource-Saving Technologies and Technical Equipment for Processing and Disposal of Man-General Formation and Waste(Ecology and Industry of Russia, 2021) Лісовий, Іван ОлександровичThe substantiation of environmental and resource-saving technologies and technical means for the processing and disposal of man-made formations and waste from mining and metallurgical production into underground mined-out spaces (man-made voids) as components of hardening filling mixtures is given. This will ensure the safety of the day surface from destruction and the vital activity of the population living in the zone of influence of the mining region. It was found that for the mines of the State Enterprise "VostGOK" (Ukraine), the utilization rate of waste of own production for the hardening filling is from 0.45 to 0.68; hydraulic – from 0.56 to 0.75; free-flowing – 0.62, and the extraction of each ton of salable ore is accompanied by the output of 0.7–0.8 tons of waste. The research results can be used in underground mining of ore deposits of complex structure and mining and metallurgical production.

The influence of the duration of irradiation by the field of ultrahigh frequency and water heat treatment on the temperature, yield, and duration of flattened spelt groats cooking was investigated. When irradiated with a field of ultrahigh frequency from 20 to 180 s, the minimum temperature of the product is 27–128 °C, and the maximum temperature is 43–159 °C. Treatment with a field of ultrahigh frequency from 20 to 100 s does not significantly affect the total yield of groats from spelt. The total yield, in this case, is 94–97 %. At the irradiation with a field of ultrahigh frequency from 120 to 180 s, the total yield of groats is significantly reduced to 83–90 %. Treating with a field of ultrahigh frequency for 100–180 s significantly reduces the duration of flattened groats cooking. The duration of cooking groats, in this case, is 14.0–15.8 minutes. It should be noted that water-heat treatment reliably reduces the duration of cooking flattened groats compared to the option without moistening. The peculiarity of the technology to produce flattened groats from spelt wheat using the field of ultrahigh frequency is that whole groats must be irradiated for 60–80 s with moistening by 1.0–1.5 %. Under this mode, the total yield of groats is 94–97 %, and the duration of cooking groats is 14.3–15.9 minutes. Subject to the production of flattened groats of the highest grade, it is necessary to irradiate with a field of ultrahigh frequency for 80 s without water-heat treatment. Under such a mode, the yield of flattened groats of the highest grade is 80 %, and that of the first grade is 13 %. The duration of cooking such groats is 16.8 minutes. The recommendations from this study could be used by small-scale grain processing enterprises in order to produce flattened groats.

A high food value and high-quality biochemical composition of grains make wheat spelt favorably remarkable for groats production. Preservation of the food value is an important task of food production, but regimes of grain processing must provide good culinary quality and consumption safety. The aim of our work is to study regimes of irradiation and humidification of wheat spelt grains, influencing the output and culinary quality of the ready product; development of recommendations as to production of rolled groats. There is studied an influence of different regimes of water-thermal processing on the total output of groats and rolled groats of the highest sort. The reliable connection between the output of rolled groats of the higher sort and duration of irradiation by the electromagnetic field of the ultrahigh frequency and grain humidification has been established. No essential connection as been established between humidification and the total output of groats. The duration increase of UHF-irradiation (>120–140 s) conditions the essential growth of dust middlings and decrease of rolled groats of the highest sort. The long-term irradiation (180 s) conditions the decrease of groats boiling duration by 17 % compar ing with the short-term processing (20 s). The established influences of the factors are preconditions for transferring obtained technological solutions and their use under conditions of existing groats factories of different productivity. МатеріалMathematical Modeling of Heat and Mass Transfer during Moisture–Heat Treatment of Castor Beans to Improve the Quality of Vegetable Oil(MDPI, 2022) Natalia Sorokova ; Vladimir Didur ; Miroslav VarinyAn important process in the technology of plant oil production by mechanical pressing is the wet–heat treatment of crushed oilseeds, in which the oilseed (compressed seed) is exposed to saturated vapor and a conductive heat supply. Optimal mode selection of wet–heat treatment based onadetailedstudyofthephysicalprocessestakingplaceinthecompressedseedincreasesoilrelease, improves its quality indicators, and decreases energy consumption. Mathematical modeling is an advanced method for studying the dynamics of humidification and frying in the compressed seed. The article introduces a mathematical model and a numerical method for calculating heat-and-mass transformation and phase conversion in the process of the humidification and frying of compressed seeds of the castor plant in a continuous multi-stage heating kettle. This study provides equations for calculating the intensity of phase transformation on the inner and outer surfaces of the wet layer. Data verification indicates the adequacy of the mathematical model, effectiveness of the numerical method, and possibility of their use in optimizing the modes of wet–heat treatment for compressed seed raw material.

The highest germination energy level of the grain 99% was noted in the header, the drum of which contained four strips, according to the combine throughput 7.5 kg/s. This level was 7% higher than the serial header.

Prof. Dudnikov I ; Ph.D.Senior Researcher Shevchuk V ; Ph.D. Kuzmych A.The purpose is to reduce the energy costs of soil tillage by developing more accurate methods for assessing the effectiveness of surface-plane and space-deep interaction of the needle with the soil. It is noted that the result of the interaction of the round needle of rotary harrow with the soil, there is a hole of regular shape with an ellipse at the base. The change in the semi-axis of the ellipse formed at the soil-air interface is analyzed. The developed method improves the accuracy of forecasting and evaluating the effectiveness of the rotary harrow needle interaction with the ground. The method creates the prerequisites for improving the quality and energy indicators of the technological processes of soil treatment with rotary harrows
