МатеріалEstimation of landscaping of types and forms of the genus Ulmus L. and the usage in decoration in the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine(Episteme czasopismo naukowo-kulturalne. Krakow., 2016) Масловата, Світлана АндріївнаThe current state of plantations involving plants of Ulmus L. in Uman is analyzed; taxonomic composition of species and their cultivars is defined. Characteristic of decorative features of species diversity of Ulmus genus growing in terms of Right-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine is showed. Dynamics of decorativeness during the year and comprehensive decorativeness of plants to wider use in landscaping are determined. It is found that conditions of Right-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine contribute decorativeness of species and cultivars of Ulmus genus which confirms the high overall annual indicator. The highest decorativeness of representatives throughout the year is indicated from April to October. All studied species and forms of Ulmus cultivated on the territory of Right-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine may be widely used in various types of plantations.

МатеріалFractional composition of water in leaf tissues of species and forms of the genus Ulmus L.(Science, theory and practice. Abstracts of XXIX International Scientific and Practical Conference, 2021-06) Масловата, Світлана АндріївнаOptimal conditions of growth and development of species and forms of the genus Ulmus depend on many factors, primarily on the water regime of plants. Optimal water supply is important for rhythmic functioning of physiological processes and optimization of plant productivity. Changes in water exchange occurring in the process of wilting under laboratory conditions are similar to the conditions of open ground during the drought season. However, the indicated method of wilting is not a direct method for assessing drought tolerance, but rather a comparative method. This is due to the fact that it does not take into account the role of the root system, the activity of which in natural conditions is essential. To study the water regime of plants, the laboratory method of wilting is effective, since it is much more efficient than the field method and does not require many years of observation and presence of drought. In order to compare in more detail the drought tolerance of species and forms of the genus Ulmus, the total water content in their leaves was analyzed, fractional analysis of plant water composition was performed, relative turgescence, water deficit and water retention capacity of leaves were determined, which more widely illuminated the response of each taxon to a lack of moisture. These indicators were determined according to the method of M. D. Kushnirenko et al.

МатеріалResults of grafting of Morus alba L. ornamental forms(International scientific journal Forestry Ideas, 2019) Вітенко, Володимир Анатолійович ; Шлапак, Володимир Петрович ; Козаченко, Ірина Володимирівна ; Кульбіцький, Володимир Леонідович ; Масловата, Світлана Андріївна ; Лазарєв, Олег В’ячеславовичBased on the processing of literary sources and our own research, we studied the features of grafting ornamental forms of Morus alba: ′Pendula′, ′Globosa′, ′Pyramidalis′, ′Contorta′, ′Macro- phylla′ and ′Tatarica′. It is proposed to distribute these ornamental forms according to the grafting and budding dates: winter – the second or the third decade of February – the first decade of March; spring: early spring (the second or the third decade of March); spring the average (the first – the second decade of April); late spring (the third decade of April – the first to the second decade of May); summer – the end of the first decade of July is the first decade of August. It is in- vestigated that the best period for its holding is the first and the second decade of April. It is deter- mined that the most effective method of winter grafting is improved copulation, which was carried out in early March – the highest average splicing of various components after grafting of these plants was observed in forms ′Tatarica′ (70 %) and ′Macrophylla′ (60 %). When grafting plants by splitting in these forms, the highest average splicing is also noted – compared 61 % and 54 %. The highest splicing results of grafted plants during their spring grafting were also obtained by applying the improved copulation method in forms ˊTataricaˊ – (88–92 %), ˊPendulaˊ – (78–84 %) and ˊMacrophyllaˊ – compared 65–75 %. The largest number of splices of grafted plants during grafting by applying the method for behind the barkis noted in form ˊTataricaˊ (87–91 %, a little lower – in ˊPendulaˊ (73–77 %) and ˊMacrophyllaˊ – compared 64–72 %. It was investigated that the wild plant (M. alba) and its studied ornamental forms resemble their internal structure and the grafting sites are quickly spliced and are completely covered with a protective fabric before the onset of the rest period.
